Winnie the Pooh is an adorable theme for a baby shower! Winnie the Pooh’s color scheme is gender neutral with its yellow tones, but you can easily add a touch of pink or blue, depending on the baby’s gender. And the addition of Pooh himself is such a cute addition.
With already having two children myself, I don’t see another baby shower in my future. However, if my sister decides to have a child, I will attempt to talk her into a Winnie the Pooh baby shower. As I was gathering all these excellent Winnie the Pooh ideas for your baby shower, it had me wishing I had done this theme for mine!
Below are specific recommendations for invitations, decorations, cake designs, food ideas, games, and more.

Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower Invitations
There are many options for invitations. For example, you can order pre-made invitations or personalized invitations. Or you can even make your invitations with a cute Winnie the Pooh quote.
Whichever type of invitation you choose for your Winnie the Pooh baby shower, ensure no details are left out. Make sure it’s clear with the date, beginning and end time (don’t need guests overstaying their welcome, especially if using a venue that charges by the hour), location, and information on how to RSVP.
Winnie the Pooh Pre-made Invitations
Pre-made invitations are an easy option. These allow you to fill in the specific information for your party. One of the biggest pros to this type of invitation is you don’t have to worry about getting it printed from a store. Instead, you can order them, fill out the information, and mail them to your guests.
This invitation set also includes a book request and diaper raffle card for each guest.
Winnie the Pooh Printable Personalized Invitations
With a printable personalized invitation, you can order the templates and print them at home or your local print store. This option allows you to personalize them to your liking, but printing them can be a hassle.
If you have a nice printer at home and card stock paper, you can print them from your home, but if you do not have those accessible, you would need to find a local store or one online that will print and ship to your house. I usually use my local CVS or Staples.
I find this option takes the most time. First, I could search the web for hours admiring all the attractive options. But once I do pick the one I will use, I have to upload the document to a store’s online printing center, order them to be printed, and either pick them up in the store or have them shipped to my house. Therefore, this is the more costly and time-consuming of the three invitation options.
DIY Winnie the Pooh Invitations
If you want to make your invitation, here are some cute Winnie the Pooh quotes you could use.
- “Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.”
- “Some people care too much. I think it’s called love.”
- “Any day spent with you is my favorite day. So, today is my new favorite day.”
Using watercolors, you could paint a picture on some blank cards with one of these quotes.
Winnie the Pooh Decorations
Decorating the venue with Winnie the Pooh decorations is key to creating that perfect atmosphere for the party. I found the most adorable decorations, plates, napkins, and centerpiece ideas for your party.
Winnie the Pooh Balloons
“Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon.”Winnie the Pooh
Winnie the Pooh loves his balloons, so you need to have plenty of balloons for a Winnie the Pooh baby shower. If you want to make them float, then make sure you use a helium tank.
One balloon that I found that would be a cute addition to a Winnie the Pooh baby shower is this giant Pooh balloon.
I also love balloon arches. For years they intimidated me, and I avoided them at parties. However, this last year I decided to try one and found out they are easy to make. However, they take time (my first one took me two hours, and I used a balloon pump which helped save a lot of time).
Winnie the Pooh Plates, Napkins, and Tablecloth
If you are at a venue providing the food, they will most likely have plates, napkins, cutlery, and tablecloths. However, if you are hosting the baby shower at someone’s house or in a community setting where you bring your food, you will need your plates, napkins, cutlery, and tablecloths.
Winnie the Pooh Centerpieces
These honeycomb centerpieces are the best option if you are looking for an easy Winnie the Pooh centerpiece.
DIY Winnie the Pooh Centerpiece
Creating your centerpieces can be time-consuming, but I found a cute idea that won’t take too much effort if you are interested in making your own.
Supplies you will need (may vary depending on the centerpiece ideas you decide):
- Large wood slices
- Small wood slices
- Large clay pots
- Small clay pots
- Yellow paint
- Black paint
- Tiny Bumblebees
- Hot Glue
- Winnie the Pooh Book Set
- Winnie the Pooh Bear
- Determine how many centerpieces you will need. If you have circle tables, I would suggest one on each table. If you are using large long tables, you may consider 2 or 3 on each table.
- Decide if you want to vary the centerpieces with the following ideas:
- Small HUNNY pot (fits on small wood slices)
- One large and one small HUNNY pot (fits on large wood slices)
- Large HUNNY pot, small HUNNY pot, and Pooh bear (fits on large wood slices)
- Stack of Winnie the Pooh Books (I suggest 5 for each centerpiece)
- Order your supplies depending on how many centerpieces you need.
- Use your yellow paint to paint dripping honey on your clay pots.
- Write HUNNY on the pot (just like Pooh’s honey jar)
- Once the paint has dried, glue the tiny bumblebees to the pots
- When ready to set your centerpieces lay out your wood slices first, and then add the pots, books, and Pooh bear.
Winnie the Pooh Garland
Add decorations to the wall of your baby shower venue with this Winnie the Pooh garland.
Or you can include these Winnie the pooh quotes around the venue.
Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower Games and Activities
Print out Games
Games are a big part of a baby shower. So you will want to ensure you have games or activities at the baby shower. If you wish to print out games, here are 68 Winnie the Pooh games that you can pick and choose from.
Guess How Many
I always love a guessing game at a baby shower. So why not fill this huge baby bottle with honeycombs and have your guests guess how many are in the bottle. Whoever gets closest to the actual number wins a prize (gift card, bottle of wine, lovely candle).

Pooh is correct; food is an essential part of the party! Your guest will enjoy these creative Winnie the Pooh food items. They will fill their tummies and leave them ready for all the fun activities.

Use this delicious honey ham sandwich recipe and add a cute sign labeling them Pooh’s Honey Ham Sandwiches! These sandwiches are great for the main lunch item that will be filling for your guests.
Rabbits Vegetable Garden
Gather all of your favorite vegetables and serve them on a tray with a delicious vegetable dip.
Piglets in a Blanket
A great appetizer is pigs in a blanket. You can buy them pre-made or use this recipe to create your own.
Winnie the Pooh Cake
“I’m so rumbly in my tumbly.”Winnie the Pooh
The cake is one of the first things I think about when planning a party. I love making my own cake, but I don’t have the skills of a professional baker, so I sometimes leave it to them. I also have a busy life, so sometimes I get a plain store-bought cake and decorate it myself.
If you prefer to decorate the cake or cupcakes yourself and are looking for a topper, I love these.
Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower Gift Ideas
I always love to purchase a gift that is the theme of the baby shower or the nursery. My baby shower was the same theme as my nursery, so I loved having outfits, books, and toys gifted that were the same theme. Here is some adorable Winnie the Pooh themed gifts.
I had a milk snob cover when my son was a newborn, and it was one of my favorite products. I used it as the car seat cover, a cover when nursing in public, and a blanket for the baby when in the doctor's office and they needed to undress to just a diaper.
Winnie the Pooh Baby Shower Party Favors
For a Winnie the Pooh baby shower, you have to have honey. So why not give your guests honey as a party favor. Here is an adorable pack you can fill with your favorite local honey.
You could also use these adorable cookie cutters and make Winnie the Pooh cookies to give to your guests as a favor.
Winnie the Pooh Themed Thank You Cards
First off, make sure someone is writing down the gifts and who gave them down to give to the mama-to-be. This is helpful for the mama-to-be when she needs to write thank yous. Another nice touch is when you give her the list of gifts that you include a box of thank you cards that are Winnie the Pooh theme. Here are a couple of options.
Enjoy planning your Winnie the Pooh themed baby shower. I hope all the ideas I shared helped you get organized and feel ready to throw the cutest baby shower a mama-to-be could ask for.
